GISA was present in the III UNEF Energy Communities Summit
GISA participated on September 30th in Seville in the III Summit of Energy Communities, organized by UNEF, representing the Getafe Genera industrial CE, of which it is a member.
This annual summit is one of Spain's leading events dedicated to the development of energy communities. The summit brought together public administrations, industry representatives, energy experts, and community initiatives from across the country to discuss the next phase of energy community deployment in Spain, with a focus on regulation, financing, project scalability, and professionalization.
As part of a roundtable discussion, GISA, representing Getafe Genera, shared its experience as an industrial energy community and highlighted the role that collaboration between companies, local governments, and energy sector stakeholders can play in accelerating the energy transition in industrial parks. The discussion addressed how energy communities can move beyond collective self-consumption to incorporate new services, such as energy storage, electric mobility, flexibility services, and other innovative solutions that strengthen competitiveness and resilience.
